In addition to the well-known tourist sites such as Inle Lake, U Bain Bridge or Bagan, encounters with people in their distant villages off the beaten tourist tracks, were the highlights of his trip. But some unforeseen events or unpleasant encounters with the representatives of the old regime made the trip an exciting experience.”
